"A Light Heart" was a personal project, created during lockdown of 2020. 

 

This projects seeks to promote the power of the human heart which is shown as a delicate and precious light bulb.

​

A glass case surrounds the heart to form a protective case or it can be perceived as a cage depending on the viewer’s perspective.

 

It is difficult to miss the powerful shatter of the glass, showing fragility and to symbolise a weak barrier that traps and holds it in place.

Another perspective can show the heart’s strength and tenacity to break free.

The symbol behind this creative piece conveys a powerful story of light and life.

Subtle details of veins can be seen, wrapping itself tightly around the heart to represent realism and physical traits of a human heart.

 

A strong contrast of colours with a dark, infinite background to highlight the importance and power of this lightbulb, illuminating the environment, whilst dealing with its own struggle or breaking free from it.

All of this is left to the viewer’s interpretation.
